Joe,
Wow, who knew you were into photography? Cool! My main film these days
is Ilford FP-4 Plus, which is 125 speed. It's only a little slower than
the common 400-speed films (like Tri-X), but it has much finer grain. I
have some old Nikon bodies that I got about 6 or 7 years ago, but most
shots these days were made with a Leica M4 with either a 35mm or 50mm
lens. Obviously I love black and white, plus I'm color blind! I assume
you saw the photos from this year linked from the home page, but there's
a lot of older stuff, too, the best is at
http://merecat.org/photo/projects/> and there's some black and white
stuff...
Laurel Hill Cemetery
Ninth Street Market
Black-and-white wedding (my sister-in-law's wedding)
Thanks for looking and writing! Hope you get back into it.
Tony

Hi Joe,
It was a pleasure meeting you and working with you on Friday night. I
just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your web site and was especially
glad to see you blogging! (I've been blogging for about 5 years,
although I rarely write about music or drumming)
Your attitude, wisdom, and positive outlook are very inspirational!
Take care,
Tony

Thanks Joe.
Appreciate your comments.
Please know that I am still
practicing my sticking.
Always thinking up, it helps my kit playing in our worship band.
We learned a new song with the worship band this week...It has a driving,
good feel.
Some good bass drum work.I keep your advice in mind always.
Especially, in regard to relaxing.
Let me know where you are playing. My wife and I would love to come out to
hear your band.
I have another full year of intermittent travel for my job, until we bring
another plant on line with a new computer system.
I definitely want to pick
up where we left off, after we are done.
Thanks again.
G.

I had the pleasure of playing with Joe at the Riddle Ale House in Media Pa. Joe made playing the bass so easy I found myself drifting off into another place. I even was watching the Phillies game on the big screen while on stage. As I told Joe the pleasure of playing with him was mine. Good player. Good Guy.

Joe,
My wife Judy works at Ludwigs Corner Hardware Store. She had one of your business cards and I recognized your name.
We were in New Orleans on vacation several years ago and were having lunch in the French Quarter. We were seated on the street listening to the Gazebo Trio. We liked the music so we stayed for a couple of hours. As we were leaving I wanted to tell the trio how much we enjoyed the music. We noticed that you were wearing a Pennsylvania T-shirt and I mentioned that we lived in Pennsylvania. You asked where. I replied "Glenmoore", which usually gets a polite nod and a further question, "Where is that?" The fact that you knew where Glenmoore was would have been shocking enough. You explained how your music had extended your stay in New Orleans though you had a home here.
I often wondered what happened to you and all the great musicians after Katrina hit. I've visited your website and see that good music never dies. We wish you continued success
